The Göppingen Gö 3 Minimoa was a German performance glider from the interwar period and World War II. The prototype flight took place in 1935. This aircraft had a dorsal wing configuration. It was 7 meters long with a wingspan of 17 meters. The take-off weight of the glider reached 350 kilograms, and the maximum speed was up to 290 km / h. The Göppingen Gö 3 Minimoa was designed by Martin Schempp and Wolf Hirt as the successor of the Göppingen Gö 1 glider. Compared to its predecessor, it not only differed in size, but also received a completely different shaped wings, which now received the rare so-called arrangement of gulls. Originally, the glider was designed as a high wing wing, but after the test flights, it was decided to use the back wing configuration. The Göppingen Gö 3 was considered to be one of the most beautiful gliders of the interwar period, but it was also a very successful glider, which, among others: the international altitude record in 1938. Gliders of this type were also sold on international markets, e.g. in the USA or Japan.
