HMS Enterprize (or HMS Enterprise) was a British sailing frigate from the end of the 18th century. The keel for this unit was laid in 1771, and the launch took place in 1774. A year later, the frigate entered service with the Royal Navy. The total length of the ship at the time of launching was 36.7 meters and a width of 10.2 meters. The crew consisted of about 200 officers and sailors. The armament, on the other hand, consisted of 24 9-pounder guns and 4 3-pounder guns. The HMS Enterprize frigate was designed by Sir John Williams and gave rise to a class of ships of a total of 27 ships. The Deptford Royal Dockyard shipyard was responsible for its construction. HMS Enterprise began its service from participation in the War of Independence of the United States (1775-1783), and more precisely in its final phase, when it carried out patrol and convoy tasks, not only in the Atlantic, but also in the Mediterranean Sea. Interestingly, already in 1784, the unit was transferred to the reserve, and from 1790 it was used in the home waters. The frigate was dismantled in 1806.
