Mitsubishi Starion is a Japanese sports car that was first presented to the general public in 1982. Its serial production started in the same year and continued until 1989. It was concentrated in the city of Okazaki, Japan. Mitsubishi Starion was developed and put into production in order to expand the brand's commercial offer and replace the Galant Lambda model in the offer. Compared to its predecessor, it clearly differed in body style - it used, for example, retractable headlights. It also uses new engines and has been narrowed down to just two turbocharged 2.0- or 2.6-liter gasoline engines. The steering and braking systems were also improved. Mitsubishi Starion was a car competing on the market with cars such as Mazda MX-7 or Toyota Supra. The car was offered only in one body variant - as a 3-door coupe. In the offer of the Mitsubishi concern it was replaced by the GTO model.
