Waffenträger 88mm PaK 43/3 is a German prototype tank destroyer from the end of World War II. The prototypes of the car were probably created in 1944. It is assumed that the total length of the car was approx. 7.3 m, with a width of approx. 2.45 m and a height of approx. 2.4 meters. The weight of the car would probably be around 11-12 tons. The vehicle was armed with a single 88mm PaK43 / 3 gun. Due to the increasing quantitative advantage of the Soviet armor on the Eastern Front, in 1943 the German army decided to develop a de facto light tank destroyer, which was to eliminate this Soviet advantage. From the very beginning, it was assumed that the new car would be as simple as possible in construction and design, the crew compartment would be protected only to a marginal extent, and the vehicle would enter production as soon as possible. These requirements, moreover, were met by the car's design developed by a small, well-known engineer, Günter Ardelt. Interestingly, however, the decision to mass-produce it was probably not made until November 1944. It is also difficult to say something about the number of cars produced. It is highly probable that a certain number of them took part in the 1945 Berlin battle.
