FSO 125P

Fiat 125p is a Polish middle class passenger car, which was first presented to the public in 1967. Its serial production was carried out in the years 1967-1991. About 1.4 million copies of this car were produced in its course, of which approx. 875,000 it was exported. The car was manufactured at Fabryka Samochodow Osobowych (FSO for short) in Warsaw. It was popularly called the "big Fiat". Fiat 125p is one of the Polish automotive legends of the 20th century. The Polish Fiat 125p was developed as the successor of the FSO Warszawa 223/224 car. Structurally, he used many solutions and components used in Italian Fiat cars: the 125 and the 1300/1500 models. It differed from its predecessor on almost every level. First of all, it had a completely changed body with a much different style and a different interior design. It was also powered by much more efficient drive units with greater reliability. Many systems were also improved, especially the brakes and steering. Despite the appearance of the Polonez car in 1978, the production of the Fiat 125p continued. On the basis of this car, many specialized versions were created, such as a police car or an ambulance.
