SNCASO Dever was a design of a French fighter aircraft from the early Cold War period. The machine was to be about 10.5 meters long, with a wingspan (width) of about 4 meters. The weight of the empty plane was not to exceed 2,500 kilograms. In turn, the maximum speed would probably reach 1.5 Ma. The SNCASO Dever project arose in response to a demand from the French Air Force in the early 1950s for a new interceptor. The new machine was to be characterized by a high maximum speed, a very high rate of climb, which features would even be achieved at the expense of maneuverability. The airline company SNCASO, based to some extent on the SO.9000 Trident, has created a highly avant-garde design involving a missile-shaped aircraft with three wings and three rudders at the front (so-called duck or canard system), three rocket engines or jets placed in nacelles on the wingtips and with the pilot's cabin in the nose of the machine. The only armament of the aircraft was to be suspended air-to-air missiles. SNCASO Dever was supposed to start from an upright position. Due to the unconventional design, as well as the expected high production costs, the project was completely abandoned.
