Ilyushin Il-14 was a Soviet, low-wing, twin-engine passenger and transport plane from the Cold War period. The drive was provided by two motors Szwecow ASz-82 T, 1900 KM each. The flight of the prototype took place in 1950, and serial production continued in 1950-1960. The machine had a cruising speed of 300 km / h with a maximum range of 1000 kilometers. Ilyushin Il-14 was developed as an improved and changed version of the Il-12 machine. Compared to its predecessor, the new plane had the same fuselage and landing gear, but it received new engines, wings and a new shape of the horizontal tail. These changes improved the reliability of the machine, improved its flight properties, and positively influenced the economy of operation. In the course of serial production, several development versions were created, among which the following can be indicated: Ił-14P (basic version), Ił-14M (version with an extended fuselage and enlarged passenger cabin), Ił-14T (transport version) or Ił- 14D (version adapted to the transport of paratroopers). The Ił-14 planes were used by countries such as: Czechoslovakia, East Germany, Poland and the USSR.
