Hase (Polish hare) was a prototype German miniature submarine from the Second World War. The unit was armed with a single torpedo. Probably only one copy of this ship was made. Hase was developed as a modernized and improved version of the Marder miniature submarine, which was first used in combat in August 1944. Hase was almost certainly built and tested at the turn of 1944-1945. Compared to its predecessor, Hase was lengthened, but kept the hull diameter (533 mm). A novelty was an attempt to use a Walter system using hydrogen peroxide for its propulsion. However, in the course of trials, the new propulsion - similarly to larger underwater units - caused considerable problems and turned out to be ineffective. Finally, mainly due to problems with the propulsion, development work on Hase was stopped very quickly.
