The 10.5 cm Kanone 18 (10.5 cm K 18) is a German field cannon from the Second World War. The first pre-production versions of this gun were made as early as 1930, but did not go into serial production until the turn of 1933/1934. The gun was manufactured by the Krupp and Rheinmetall concerns. The K18 cannon was not considered a particularly successful weapon. It was heavy and difficult to transport, and its range was relatively low compared to the 150mm howitzer. By 1941, most of them were withdrawn to the Atlantic embankment, only a small number were used on the Eastern Front as anti-tank weapons. In 1940, an improved version of the 10.5 cm Kanone 18/40 cannon with a barrel length of 60 calibres was created, which only entered production in 1942. After the war, Kanone 18 served in the Albanian and Bulgarian armies. Technical data: range: 19000 m, caliber: 105 mm, combat weight: 5642 kg, rate of fire: 6 spm / min, initial velocity: 835 m / s.
