Jelcz 014/015 Lux is a Polish long-distance tourist bus, which was presented for the first time in 1964. Its serial production started in the same year at Zakłady Samochodowe Jelcz. Popularly, due to its elongated and oval shape, it was called a "cucumber". Jelcz 014 Lux is essentially a licensed, although a modified version of the Czechoslovak Skoda 706 RTO Lux bus, using many elements from the Jelcz 043 city bus. The Jelcz 014 Lux bus, however, had a clearly reinforced structure, especially the body, and also used the Skoda diesel engine imported from Czechoslovakia. The 706RT, 160 HP, with direct fuel injection. The new series of buses was adapted to transport from 33 to 42 passengers. The advantages of buses of this type included good performance, especially the relatively high maximum speed for this class of vehicles, relatively high reliability and a fairly high passenger compartment.
