TKr55 is a prototype Polish steam locomotive, which was manufactured in 1957 at ZNTK in Wrocław. The service weight of the locomotive was 85 tons, and its length - 11.55 m. The diameter of the driving wheels was 1450 mm, with a 1'D axle system. Only one example of this locomotive was made. The TKr55 steam locomotive was designed at the Research and Development Institute "Tabor" in Poznań (then called the Central Railway Rolling Stock Construction Office in Poznań) in 1955, and its only one was produced in Wrocław two years later. The new locomotive was based on the chassis of the Tr 203 series locomotive, and a large part of the body (e.g. a booth or a boiler) was transferred from the TKt48 locomotive. Several changes were made at the same time. First of all, the refuges were strengthened, the dimensions of the boiler and the method of planting it were changed. The steam locomotive successfully passed the first tests and proved to be economical in operation. However, due to the progressive electrification of Polish railway lines and the introduction of diesel locomotives to use, the serial production of the TKr55 was not undertaken. The only one built was used in the locomotive shed in Kutno as a shunting locomotive.
