Mitsubishi J4M Senden was the name of a Japanese WWII fighter project. The plane was supposed to be about 12.9 m long with a wingspan of 12.5 m. Propulsion would probably be provided by a single Mitsubishi MK9D engine with a power of up to 2100 HP, and the maximum speed would probably oscillate around 750 km / h. The aircraft was to be armed with 1 30mm cannon and 2 20mm cannons. The Mitsubishi J4M Senden was designed for the Imperial Japanese Navy as an interceptor operating from land bases. The machine was to have a high rate of climb and a high top speed, and its main task would be to destroy American strategic bombers. It was also planned to use a push propeller and a three-support undercarriage - very rare among machines at that time. However, the Mitsubishi J4M Senden did not get the support of policymakers and did not go beyond the design stage. Nor has even a prototype of it been created.
