The first prototype of the Bohm und Voss BV 155 Vi aircraft, powered by a Daimler-Benz DB 603A engine with a TKL 15 combustion turbocharger, equipped with a four-blade wooden propeller with a diameter of 3.9 m, was tested on September 1, 1944. The aircraft was equipped with an Rb 50/30 camera placed behind the pilot's seat, a radio installation consisting of FuG 16ZY and FuG 25a cameras, a pressurized pilot's cabin and the possibility of installing a water-methanol injection system into the MW 50 engine. , the engine was overheating, it worked intermittently, the coolers placed on the wing did not fulfill their task, while the plane was performing more severe maneuvers. As a result of these experiments, the second prototype of the BV155 V2 was created, which had new larger radiators placed under the wings, the horizontal tail was enlarged, and the plane was also equipped with a new drip cabin cover. The first flight of the BV 155 V2 took place on February 15, 1945. At that time, Eng. Vogt received Technisches Amtu proposals for another design revision, now known as Project 205, to be a Daimler-Benz DB 603U powered engine with a mechanical turbocharger from the Daimler-Benz DB 603E engine. Team of Eng. Vogt accepted the offer and offered to stop further work on the BV 155B in exchange for developing a version of the BV 155C. After considering the offer, Technisches Amt placed an order for the production of thirty BV 1S5C aircraft. At that time, the BV 155 V2 was seriously damaged during a forced landing on soft ground. Work on the construction of the third prototype of the B version was carried out at Finkenwerder in parallel with the preparations for the start of production of the BV 155C series. The third prototype differed from the first two with the installed DB 603U engine, which entailed a change in the shape of the engine cover, the installation of the TKL turbocharger remained unchanged. From the outside, the BV 155C version differed from the previous ones. Large coolers placed at the junction of the center wing with the wingtips were moved to the fuselage. The horizontal damper was enlarged, and the struts connecting them to the hull were also eliminated. Production plans included completion of the BV 155C-01 in April 1945, the C-02 in May and the C-03 and -04 in June. The implementation of these plans was impossible due to the seizure of the plant in Finkenwerder by the allies and the end of the war. Technical data: (theoretical): Maximum speed: 690 km / h, speed of climb: 11.5 m / s, maximum altitude 17100 m, maximum range: 1440 km, armament: fixed - combination of MG103 30mm cannons and MG151 cal cannons .20mm (up to three divisions).
