CANADAIR CHALLENGER CL604/605

The Canadair Challenger 604 (now Bombardier Challenger 604) is a Canadian utility and business jet powered aircraft. The prototype flight took place in 1994, and serial production started shortly after. The drive - in the CL-604 version - is provided by two turbofan engines CF34-3B with 38.8 kN each. The Bombardier Challenger 604 was designed as an evolutionary development of the previous Bombardier Challenger series aircraft - the CL-603 model. Compared to its predecessor, the new machine received new power units and enlarged fuel tanks, which significantly improved its flight range - up to 7408 kilometers. A different horizontal tail was also introduced, a completely new undercarriage (although it is still triple) and the avionics were modernized. It is worth adding that the military version (CL-604 MMA) was also created based on the civilian CL-604 aircraft, used by Denmark and intended for maritime reconnaissance and search and rescue tasks.
