The Messerschmitt Me-108 Typhoon is a German four-seater single-engine sports and liaison aircraft designed by Willi Messerschmitt. The flight of the prototype took place in 1934, and a year later it was entered into service. The Argus As 10C-3 engine with 239HP was used as the drive unit. The Me-108 was used by the Luftwaffe as a transport aircraft for senior officers and a liaison aircraft. It was one of these machines that crashed on January 10, 1940 near Mechelen, triggering the famous "Mechelen Incident". The experience gained during the construction of this aircraft was used in the construction of the legendary Me-109.
