Scottish Aviation Bulldog is a modern British low-wing fixed landing gear trainer, which was flew in 1969, and during its production (which lasted in 1969-1982), about 330 machines of this type were created. The aircraft, in the Bulldog Series 120 version, is 7.1 meters long with a wingspan of 10.11 meters. The drive is provided by a single Lycoming IO-360-A1B6 engine with a maximum power of 200 HP. The maximum speed is 240 km / h, with a climb speed of 5.3 m / s. The machine, optionally, can be armed with a single 7.62 mm machine gun or can carry a bomb load of up to approx. 290 kg. The Scottish Aviation Bulldog was originally called the Beagle B.125 Bulldog, but after Beagle Aircraft filed for bankruptcy, Scottish Aviation took over the production rights to the aircraft. The main recipients of these machines were the Swedish and British air forces, which used these aircraft for the basic training of pilots. Scottish Aviation was also used in the Royal Navy pilot training process. At the RAF, this type of aircraft was replaced at the beginning of the 21st century by Grob G 115 Tutor machines. A large number of Bulldog planes were exported and have been or are still used in countries such as Argentina, Kenya, Malaysia and Nigeria.
