Hino Rainbow is a contemporary, Japanese-made, low-floor city bus. Depending on the variant, the length of the vehicle varies from 7 to 10.5 meters, and its width - from 2 to 2.5 meters. The height of the bus reaches 3 meters, regardless of the variant. The transmission may be provided by a manual or automatic gearbox. Hino Rainbow has been manufactured since 1980 by a company called J-Bus, which in turn is a joint venture between Isuzu and Hino Motors. From the very beginning, the model was produced in several variants: as a city bus, tourist bus or sightseeing bus. It is worth adding that the first generation of buses called the Rainbow, which entered the market in 1980, was clearly based on numerous vehicle solutions called the Hino RL, i.e. the bus launched in 1970. Hino Rainbow buses are widely used in Japan, and one of their users is the Toei Bus lines, which provide public transport in the Tokyo metropolitan area. They are subject to Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Transportation, or Toei for short.
