The Suzuki Cappuccino is a Japanese kei-car sports car that was first presented to the public in 1989 at the Tokyo Motor Show. Its serial production started in 1991 and lasted until 1997. During this process, the car was manufactured only in the city of Kosai, Japan. The Cappuccino model was developed and implemented for production in order to expand the commercial offer of the Suzuki Motor Corporation and to strengthen the brand's position in the kei-car segment and to establish a competitive fight with such cars as Honda Beat or Autozam AZ-1. The Cappuccino model was also the realization of Suzuki management's intention to return to the sports car segment. The drive is a small, 0.7-liter 3-cylinder gasoline engine mated to a 3-speed automatic or 5-speed manual gearbox. The weight of the vehicle was also kept as low as possible by the use of aluminum on a large scale. Suzuki Cappuccino turned out to be a market success in the Land of the Rising Sun.
