Talbot Lago Record T26 is a French passenger car, which, according to today's classifications could be classified as upper-middle class and sports cars. The car was presented to the public for the first time in 1946. Its serial production took place in the years 1946-1953. The car was powered by a single engine with a displacement of 4.5 liters and 170 HP. The wheelbase ranged from 2.65 m in the sports version to 3.125 m in the passenger version. The Lago Record T26 model was developed and put into production by an automotive company Automobiles Talbot SA which was based on the outskirts of Paris, but British capitals played a huge role in its development. The Record model was built in order to adapt the company to the new legal regulations created by the French government in early 1946 regarding the automotive industry. Talbot Lago Record was offered primarily in three body versions: as a 2-door convertible, a 4-door sedan and a 2-door so-called coach. A sports version was also created, called Talbot Lago Grand Sport T26.
