The Daihatsu Leeza is a Japanese kei-car that was first presented to the public in 1986. Its serial production started in the same year and continued until 1999. The Leeza model was designed and put into production to strengthen the position of the Daihatsu Motor Company in the kei-car segment, i.e. the segment of micro-cars using engines with small displacement and low curb weight. From the very beginning, the car was designed primarily for the domestic market. The drive was provided by one of four gasoline engines with a capacity of 0.5 to 0.7 liters, mated to a manual or automatic gearbox. Daihatsu Leeza was offered in two body styles: as a 2-door convertible and a 3-door hatchback. In the company's offer it was replaced by the Mira model.
