The last, 10th generation of the Cedric model (designation: Y34) was put into production in 1999 and was manufactured at the Tochigi plant in Japan. Over time, it began to become more and more similar (stylistically and technically) to the Cedric model and was often treated as a variant of this model. The last, 11th generation of the Gloria model (designation: Y34) was put into production in 1999 and was manufactured at the Musashimurayama plant in Japan. It was offered only as a 4-door hardtop, and the range of engines included 2.5 and 3 liter units, exactly the same as the last generation of Cedric models.
