The Type 41 cannon was a Japanese 75mm infantry support cannon from the First World War, the Interwar Period and World War II. The cannon remained in service with the Japanese army in 1908-1945. The initial velocity of the high-impact projectile oscillated around 435 m / s, with a maximum range of 7,020 meters. The Type 41 cannon was a license-produced cannon developed by the German Krupp plants, called Krupp M.08. It was originally used in the Japanese army as a mountain cannon, for which it was also designed. Such a use was favored by the relatively low weight of the gun, its compactness and the fact that it could be fully transported by service soldiers, without the help of pack animals or motor vehicles. However, in the 1930s, with the entry into service of the Type 94 gun, the Type 41 began to be used as a support weapon for traditional infantry, but it performed much worse in this role. Despite this, it remained in service until the end of World War II.
