The car Phänomen Granit 25 was developed by Eng. Alfred Häsner, as a light truck for the German Reichswehr units, but also with a view to offering it on the civil market. The plants were responsible for the production of the car Phänomen-Werke in the town of Zwickau. Several variants of this vehicle were created in the course of production. Among them: Granit 25 (basic version), Granit 25H (military version), Granit 25 H Sanitätsfahrzeug (Kfz.31, military ambulance) or Granit 25H Kübelwagen (reconnaissance version, with a folding roof made of fabric). Cars of this type, in various versions, were already used during the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939) by units of the Condor Legion, as well as on almost all fronts of World War II. The car was also exported to Bulgaria.
