Schinen-Sparwagen (abbreviated: S.sp) is a German, self-propelled armored draisine from the Second World War. The draisine was developed in 1944 and its serial production began in the same year. Depending on the version, the armament could be configured differently, but most often it consisted of heavy and light machine guns and mortars. The maximum speed was up to 40 km / h. The Schinen-Sparwagen draisine was designed for independent reconnaissance operations, transporting infantry, but could also be part of armored trains composed mainly of this type of draisine. The draisine was covered with armor up to 20 mm thick, and its weight reached 18 tons. It is worth adding that the combat capabilities of the Schinen-Sparwagen were similar to the BP-42 draisine. The S.sp draisines took part mainly in the battles in the Balkans from November 1944.
