The Yakovlev Yak-11 was a Soviet low-wing training aircraft from the post-war period. The prototype flight took place in 1946. The length of the aircraft was 8.2 meters with a wingspan of 9.4 meters. The drive was provided by a single Szwiecow ASz-21 engine with a capacity of 700 HP. The deck armament consisted of a single 7.62 or 12.7 mm machine gun. The machine could also carry bomb loads of up to 200 kilograms. The Yak-11 model was developed by the Soviet aircraft constructor Alexander Yakovlev as a production version of the prototype Yak-3UTI aircraft. The machine was characterized by a mixed, metal and wooden structure and had a classic, retractable undercarriage. The Yak-11 machines entered the Soviet Air Force in 1947 and were used for intermediate training as the last stage before starting flights on combat aircraft. Due to the entry into use of jet fighters in the early 1950s, the Yak-11 was decommissioned relatively quickly and was systematically transferred to civil aviation. It was also licensed in Czechoslovakia under the designation C-11.
