Ключевые слова #J2F-5
The Grumman J2F Duck was an American multirole seaplane in a fixed, float, and fixed undercarriage from the interwar period and World War II. A prototype flight took place in 1933, and the machine entered the line in 1936. The plane - in the J2F-6 version - was 10.37 meters long with a wingspan of 11.9 meters. The drive was provided by a single 900 HP Wright R-1820-64 engine. The maximum speed of the aircraft reached 304 km / h. The deck armament consisted of one 7.62 mm Browning machine gun. The machine could also take a load of bombs weighing up to approx. 295 kg. The Grumman J2F Duck was one of the most widely used American seaplanes during World War II, as it served not only in the US Navy, but also in the US Coast Guard, US Marine Corps and the US Air Force. Its main tasks included carrying out transport tasks, but also carrying out observation and reconnaissance missions, ZOP (anti-submarine combat), rescue and photographic reconnaissance missions. Grumman J2F planes also took an active part in World War II in the Pacific, especially in 1941-1942. In the course of production, several development versions of this very successful aircraft were created, for example: J2F-2 (version for the US Marine Corps), J2F-5 (version of the F-2, but with a more powerful engine), J2F-6 (version with the Wright R -1820-64) or OA-12 (rescue version for the Air Force).
