ARADO AR E 583

The Arado Ar E.583 was a project of a German WWII night fighter jet. It was assumed that the propulsion would be provided by two He-S011 jet engines, and the on-board armament would consist of two machine guns and two 30 mm cannons. The maximum speed was to reach approx. 800 km / h. The Ar E.583 project was developed at the Arado Flugzeugwerke aviation plant in early 1945. The new design was based largely on the assumptions of the E.581 project and, interestingly, was to use some elements of the E.555 bomber design. The E.583 project involved the creation of a relatively large aircraft, with long-span oblique wings, in an aerodynamic arrangement that closely resembled the delta arrangement. The machine also did not have vertical fins in the tail part, but on the wings. The approaching end of World War II and the enormous problems with obtaining the raw materials needed to build the Arado Ar E.583 meant that the machine never left the design phase.
