The Indian 741B is an American military motorcycle from the Second World War. The drive was provided by a single engine with a capacity of 500 cm3 and 15 HP. The 3-speed gearbox was responsible for the drive transmission. Serial production started in early 1942. The 741B was manufactured by the American Indian Motocycle Manufactoring Company, originally for the US Army. The motorcycle was heavily based on the 30-50 civil bike and differed little from it. Moreover, in the opinion of the US military, it had an engine with too little power and displacement. For this reason, a large part of the produced Indian 741B motorcycles began to go to the troops of the Commonwealth countries - especially Canada and Great Britain. It is assumed that about 30,000 Indian 741B motors were produced in the course of production.
