HSK0005 KUNKADLO 3D RESIN KIT AND THE BOOK (HS0005)

The VBS Kunkadlo is a Czechoslovakian light sports aircraft from the interwar period in the high-wing configuration with a fixed landing gear in the classic configuration. The prototype flight took place in 1926. The machine was 4.48 m long with a span of 7.2 m. The maximum speed did not exceed 115 km / h, and the range - 300 kilometers. The drive was provided by a single Clerget-Renault engine with a capacity of 14 HP. VBS Kunkadlo was developed by brothers Vladimir and Bohuslav Simunk. It is worth adding that both were graduates of the Technical University in Prague and both later became famous in Czechoslovakia - Vladimir was a famous test pilot, and Bohuslav was a designer of aircraft engines, working at the Walter plant. The VBS Kunkadlo was a light sports machine with a relatively simple structure and low manufacturing costs. Already the first flights showed that the plane is quite a successful design, although not without defects, which, however, were eliminated. Despite this, the plane did not go into mass production, and after World War II it was placed as an exhibit at the National Technical Museum in Prague.
