The ZTD-05 (another designation: Type 05 or ZBD-05) is a modern Chinese infantry fighting vehicle. The first prototypes of this family's vehicles were most likely built at the beginning of the 21st century, and serial production started in 2006 and is probably still going on. The ZTD-05 is powered by a single diesel engine 550 hp . It is armed with a single 105mm cannon and two 12.7mm and 7.62mm machine guns. Vehicle design The ZTD-05 was developed in the Russian KBP office as a successor to the Type 63A tank. Its design was based on assumptions similar to the BMP-3. The serial ZTD-05 is characterized by very high off-road mobility, good maneuverability and relatively high firepower. It is compounded by the fact that the gun used on the ZTD-05 can be fired with guided anti-tank missiles (e.g. 9M117 Bastion). The vehicle also has good seaworthiness and has amphibious abilities. The vehicle is protected by steel armor, which provides protection against small caliber shells (up to 14.5 mm) and artillery fragments. The landing party is probably composed of 6 or 7 soldiers. The ZTD-05 vehicles serve in Chinese marines. The ZTZ-99 or Type 99 is a modern 3rd generation Chinese Main Battle Tank. The first prototypes of the vehicle were probably created in the mid-1990s, and serial production started in 2001 continues to this day. So far (2018), approximately 300-500 tanks of this type have been produced. The ZTZ-99 is powered by a 1500 HP diesel engine. The vehicle is armed with a single 125mm ZPT-98 tank gun. In addition, the tank's armament consists of 2 machine guns: cal. 12.7 mm and 7.62 mm. The ZTZ-99 was created as a successor to the Type 85 tank and a very far-reaching development of the ZTZ-98G vehicle. Chinese designers set themselves the goal of the ZTZ-99 to create a machine that would be able to match Western designs like the Leopard 2A6 or M1A1 Abrams. Despite being kept secret of more precise data on the ZTZ-99, it is undoubtedly the most modern tank of the PRC army. It has effective main weapons, probably only slightly inferior to Western solutions. It also has a powerful 1500 HP engine, giving it good maneuverability and off-road mobility, and finally has a modern SKO (fire control system) and good observation devices. It almost certainly uses composite armor with elements of reactive armor. In 2007, the tests of the ZTZ-99A car were also revealed, with even better armor and - probably - an active defense system. Without a doubt, the ZTZ-99 is a significant advance in Chinese armored weapons with combat values comparable to those of the Western ones.Dongfeng Mengshi is a family of contemporary Chinese military off-road vehicles and light armored vehicles with all-wheel drive (4x4). The family of these vehicles was developed and produced for the needs of the Chinese armed forces by the Dongfeng Motor Group. Chronologically, the first versions of this family are a license copy of the American Hummer H1, but the later versions are quite a far-reaching modernization deviating from the original. In total, at least several versions of the Dongfeng Mengshi cars were created. The first car in the family was the EQ2050, an exact copy of the Hummer H1, powered by the Cummins EQ-150-20 engine. The second model was the EQ2060, which had a different engine and a more ergonomically arranged interior of the passenger compartment. He entered service in a very small number. Another version is the CSK-131, a light armored vehicle with a completely redesigned body and hull, based on the EQ2060 version. A specific development of the CSK-131 version is the CSK-141 model, i.e. a de facto wheeled armored personnel carrier with an elongated hull that can accommodate up to 10 landing troops.
