The Zlin Z-126 Trainer II (another designation: C-105) was a Czechoslovakian training plane in the low wing configuration with a fixed landing gear in the classic post-war period. The machine was put into service in 1953. The drive was provided by a single Walter Minor-4 engine. The length of the aircraft was 7.42 meters with a wingspan of 10.28 meters. The top speed did not exceed 205 km / h. The plane did not have permanent on-board weapons. The Zlin Z-126 was created as a modification of the successful training and training machine of the same company - the Z-26 model to be exact. The main changes concerned the reinforcement of the aircraft structure, as well as the use of fully metal wings instead of wooden ones (which were used on the Z-26). The Zlin Z-126 turned out to be a very successful plane, characterized by great piloting qualities, good flight stability, but also considerable aerobatic capabilities. Serial production was carried out in the years 1954-1956, and in its course approx. 170 aircraft of this type were created, of which approx. 45 were exported to, inter alia, Australia, East Germany and Great Britain.
