HMS Fearless (L10) was a British large landing craft from the Cold War period. The keel for this unit was laid in 1962, the launch took place in December 1963, and entry into service with the Royal Navy - in 1965. The total length of the ship at the time of launching was 160 meters and a width of 24 meters. Full displacement reached approximately 12,200 tons, and maximum speed was approximately 21 knots. The armament at the time of launching consisted of two 20mm cannons, and later two 20mm Vulcan Phalanx CIWS sets. The unit had stands for five Westland Sea King helicopters. HMS Fearless (L10) was one of the leading units of the class of landing ships of the same name. This type of units was dedicated primarily to the British Royal Marines, which were to use them for landing operations in enemy territory and in the support phase of the landing operation. HMS Fearless was built at the Harland and Wolff shipyard in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Shortly after entering service, the ship operated near Aden, supporting British operations in the area. In 1982, HMS Fearless took an active part in the activities in the Falklands. In the period 1991-1995, the unit acted as a training ship. In 2002, the ship was decommissioned.
