Bell-Boeing V-22 Osprey (Osprey) is a multipurpose VTOL vertical take-off and landing plane. The prototype's flight took place in February 1988, but the aircraft was not approved for production until September 2005. Serial production, started shortly after, continues. The drive is provided by two Rolls-Royce AE 1107C-Liberty engines with a power of 6150KM each. The V-22 is the first mass-produced aircraft with a rotating propulsion system. Such an unusual system ensures not only vertical take-off and landing, but also a very high cruising speed, combining the advantages of a helicopter and a turboprop transport. The main and so far only user of the V-22 is the US Marine Corps. Technical data: length: 17.5m, wingspan: 14m, height: 6.73m, maximum speed: 565km / h, rate of climb: 11.8m / s, practical ceiling: 7600m, maximum range (with suspended tanks): 3600km , armament: fixed - 1 M2 machine gun cal.7.62 and 1 machine gun GAU-17 cal.7.62 mm.
