The model was created on a grassroots initiative of the company's main engineers, but its founder - Ferruccio Lamborghini - agreed to continue the work and the subsequent implementation of the model into production. In the course of serial production, several variants of the Miura model were created, one of which was the Miura P400 SV version one of the most produced. In this model, the steering system was improved, its dimensions were slightly changed, but the biggest changes took place in the drive and in the oil system. Changes were also made to the suspension system. The Miura P400 SV model was able to accelerate to 290 km / h, and acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h was 6.7 seconds.
