The RQ-4 Global Hawk is a modern American drone, i.e. an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), which took place in 1998. Serial production started in the same year and is still ongoing. The drive is provided by a single Allison Rolls-Royce AE3007H engine. The machine is 13.4 meters long with a wingspan of 35.5 meters. The maximum speed reaches approx. 630 km / h, and the flight duration is estimated at over 32 hours. The RQ-4 Global Hawk was designed by Ryan Aeronautical, but is currently produced by the Northrop-Grumman defense group. The first flight tests of this atypical machine took place in 1998, and a year later the machine was tested by the US armed forces. Given the range and duration of the flight, the RQ-4 can take off from the territory of the United States and be driven by an operator located in that country. The aircraft is also equipped with state-of-the-art flight control computers and advanced navigation systems - both inert and satellite. The RQ-4 Global Hawk can also carry up to 1,500 kilos of specialized equipment. In 2013, the unit price of this machine was $ 131.4 million.
