The 7.5 cm leichtes Infanteriegeschütz 18 (7.5 cm le.IG 18) is a German 75mm infantry cannon from the Second World War. The gun was designed in 1927 by the Rheinmetall concern, and in 1932 it entered mass production. The basic model of the 7.5 cm le.IG 18 gun was the basis for several specialized versions, the most widely produced of which was the gun intended for mountain shooters (7.5 cm le.GebIG 18). A characteristic feature of this version was the possibility of disassembling it into 10 parts, which facilitated transport on draft animals. About 12,000 cannons of all versions were produced.
