BEECHCRAFT KING AIR C-90 A IN SPANISH AND COLOMBIAN SERVICE

The Beechcraft 200 Super King Air is a modern American passenger and multi-role low-wing aircraft, with a three-support landing gear - retractable in flight. The prototype flight took place in 1972. The plane is approximately 13.3 meters long with a wingspan of approximately 15.3 meters. The drive is provided by two Pratt and Whitney Canada PT-6A-41 with 850 HP each. Beechcraft 200 Super King Air was developed as an evolutionary development of the very successful Beechcraft 100 King Air. Compared to its predecessor, it is distinguished primarily by an elongated fuselage, increased wingspan, the use of a completely different T-shaped tail, the use of new engines with significantly greater maximum power, as well as increased fuel capacity and new avionics. Moreover, the new machine has been very carefully tested and aerodynamically developed. Therefore, despite some similarities, Beechcraft 200 Super King Air and Beechcraft 100 King Air are two different planes. It is worth noting that the design of the Beechcraft 200 was developed and in 1981 another version (Beechcraft B200) appeared, using the modernized Pratt and Whitney Canada PT-6A engines and having new electronic equipment. Beechcraft 200 Super King Air planes have been used by both civilian and military users - including the United States Air Force.
