Avia S-199 is a Czechoslovakian fighter produced right after World War II. During production, elements left by the German occupiers in Czechoslovakia were used, as well as the general design of the Messerschmitt Bf 109G-14 aircraft. The Avia S-199, however, turned out to be an unsuccessful plane, difficult to pilot and not very maneuverable, which earned it the nickname "mule". The propulsion unit of the aircraft was the Junkers Jumo 211F engine (the same engine used in the Heinkl He-111). In total, 575 Avia S-199 planes were produced, 25 of which went to the IAF and fought in the Israeli War of Independence in 1948. Technical data: Maximum speed: 590 km / h, speed of climb: 6.6 m / s, maximum ceiling 8686 m, maximum range: 850 km, armament: fixed - 2 MG131 machine guns and 2 MG151 cannons - up to 250 kg of bombs.
