The new plane differs from its predecessor with many different elements. First of all, it became a twin-engine aircraft, it also received new power units, the aerodynamic system of the aircraft was improved and the wing structure was changed. The DHC-6 is also an aircraft with the STOL capability, i.e. shortened take-off and landing - similar to its predecessor.
