AIRBUS A310-300 PRATT & WHITNEY PAN AMERICAN

The Airbus A310 is a mid-range, long-range, low-wing, twin-engine jet airliner, primarily French-German production. The drive is provided by two General Electric CF-6-80C2 or Pratt and Whitney PW4000 turbofan engines. The flight of the prototype took place in 1982, and serial production lasted from 1983 to 1998. In 2013, 168 out of 255 produced machines remained in service. The Airbus A310 was created as the second structure of an international consortium composed of mainly German and French companies. The new machine was based on the Airbus A300 aircraft and retained many common elements with it - primarily the engines and the general shape of the fuselage. Several versions of this aircraft were created in the course of serial production. The first mass-produced was the A310-200. Another was the A310-200C, which could also function as a transport machine. One of the last is the A310-300 with a greater range and lifting capacity. One of the most interesting versions is the A310-MRT, which is a military transport version. Airbus A310, despite the fact that it is considered a successful and safe machine, took part in 10 disasters.
