The Antonov An-10 (NATO designation: Cat) was a Soviet high-wing passenger and transport aircraft from the post-war period. The drive was provided by four Ivchenko AI-20-K turboprop engines with a capacity of 4,000 HP each. The flight of the prototype took place in 1957, and serial production began in 1959. Approximately 100-110 copies of this plane were created in its course. The Antonov An-10 (sometimes called Ukraine) was initially designed as a passenger plane, dedicated to Soviet airlines, but already at this stage it was assumed that the plane could be converted into a military transport plane. Initially, the An-10 machines showed stability problems, but they were eliminated relatively quickly. The machine entered service with the Aeroflot airline in 1959 and remained in service until 1972. In the course of serial production, several versions of this aircraft were created, including: An-10A (passenger version that can take up to 100 people), An-10KP (military version serving as a flying command center), An-10AS (military transport aircraft) or An-10B (passenger version taking up to 132 people).
