The Felixstowe F.2 is a British seaplane intended for sea patrols and attacks on submarines, whose flight took place in 1916 and entered service in 1917. This type of aircraft was armed with several 7.7mm Lewis machine guns at the front and center of the fuselage. The bombs were hung under the wings and additional fuel tanks were often added, which increased the operational range of the aircraft. The crew consisted of four people - two pilots and two shooters. Felixstowe F.2 seaplanes aroused respect among German U-boats and zeppelins for their firepower. Unfortunately, they were often mistaken by Royal Navy units for German machines, which ultimately led to the creation of special markings and camouflage for these machines. During the war, 175 Felixstowe F.2 were built. Technical data: Maximum speed: 154 km / h, speed of climb: 2.65 m / s, maximum ceiling 2,926 m, armament: fixed - 4 Lewis machine guns, caliber 7.7 mm, suspended - up to 208 kg of bombs.
