The AAVR-7A1 is a modern, tracked evacuation and technical protection vehicle on a tracked chassis. The first copies of this vehicle entered service in 1983 and remain in service to this day. The length of the wagon is about 7.95 meters, with a width of about 3.3 meters. The drive is provided by a single 525 HP Cummins VTA-525 engine. The AAVR-7A1 vehicle was developed by FMC Corporation for the needs of the US Marine Corps. The new vehicle was essentially a development of the amphibious vehicle LVTP-7A1 (later designation: AAVP-7A1), which in turn entered the USMC line in 1982. Compared to its predecessor, the new vehicle has a hydraulic arm on the right side of the hull with a lifting capacity of up to approx. 2,700 kilograms. A bipolar winch with a maximum thrust of approximately 13,500 kilograms was also installed. In addition, the truck carries an AC generator, welding equipment and an air compressor.
