Description
Saracens were the Muslims settled in North Africa and the Middle East. The Islamic conquest of Egypt and Syria made possible a fleet that rivaled with Byzantium for naval control of the Mediterranean. The Saracen land troops, determined and hard-fighting, comprised elements from different ethnic groups and social standing, but kept together by their Faith. The kit includes Turkoman horse archers, camel riders, heavily-armored central-Asian horsemen, infantry with standards and almond-shaped shields with Koranic inscriptions.
