SWEDISH CV9035 IFV

The CV9035 is a modern tracked infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) originally manufactured in Sweden and currently manufactured by the international concern BAE Systems. The first prototypes of the family of these vehicles appeared in the late 1980s, and in 1991 the first ones entered the line in the Swedish army. The hull of the CV9035 is approximately 6.6 meters long with a width of approximately 3.1 meters. The drive is provided by a single Scania DS14 engine with a maximum power of 810 HP. The main armament is a 35mm Bushmaster III autocannon, and the secondary armament is a single 7.62mm machine gun. The CV9035 is a development and export version of the CV9040, also known in the Swedish army as The Stridsfordon 90. The main armament differs from its predecessor - a 35mm autocannon was used instead of a 40mm cannon. This version was used by the Dutch, Estonian and Danish armies. It is worth noting that the CV9035 was developed further and as a result, a version was created, designated as the CV9035 Mark III, which differed from its predecessor by a more effective 35mm gun, significant changes to the frontal armor of the car (turret and hull), design changes to the rear part of the vehicle turret as well as the use of SAAB Astice Protection Systems. It is worth noting that the estimated cost of obtaining a used, single CV9035 Mark III vehicle by the Estonian army was approximately $ 3.34 million according to 2018 prices.
