The 2S14 Zhalo or Zhalo-S was a Soviet post-war wheeled tank destroyer project. Probably the only prototype built was built in the late 1970s - the machine never entered mass production. Most likely, the vehicle was to be powered by two ZMZ-4908 engines with a total power of 240 HP. The 2S14 Zhalo prototype was constructed on the basis of the BTR-70 wheeled armored personnel carrier. Its main task was to provide anti-tank cover to subunits of the Soviet motorized infantry. He took over many components from his protoplast, as well as general design assumptions. It also still had the ability to negotiate water obstacles without any special preparation, as well as a high top speed, despite - probably - increasing the weight of the car as a whole. The main change was to mount the turret with the 85mm 2A62 gun in the middle of the hull. There are many indications that the turret was developed from scratch, despite some similarity to the turret used on the BMP-1. Ultimately, however, the 2S14 Zhalo did not enter mass production. Only one prototype of this car was built.
